two videos, one day pt 1

Resolution

The local McDonald's is deserted, save for a collection of sleepy customers. Among the empty booths, a lone boy is seated. His dark eyes are downcast and a pair of cold hands grasp a cup of untouched coffee. The warm steam travels upward, toward the ceiling. Unmoved, the boy holds the same position as he had when he walked into the quiet restaurant. He is a deeply troubled soul: inside his head, thoughts and conflicts swirl about crowded and unresolved. But today is the day--the day that he will finally do something about it. Running a hand through his messy, raven hair, he breaks the stillness. His rough hands find their way into his battered bag and slowly resurface with a writing pad. It has been almost two years since he opened his journal. For two years, he has struggled to find a way to sort out his emotions. Tonight he will return to the salvation of paper and ink. After a few moments of hesitation, the boy cautiously lifts the cover. Before he is able to have second thoughts, his fingers weave through the filled pages and find vacant space. Outside, the sun is setting and the room is getting colder, but the boy is determined. He will write until there is nothing left to write, until the pain and confusion leaves his head, until he reaches the resolution.
